A possibly miraculous day...

Last night Emily and I discussed our plans for this evening and found out we would both be at home. So the tentative plan is to
1) hang the curtains (I am at Dad's now to pick up the drill...and play with the kitten)
2) attempt to hook up the Internet (although I am still very skeptical)

So, maybe I will be blogging from my own computer again this evening. Doubtful, but maybe. Usually I'm such an optimist, but I don't have high hopes.

Isn't She ADORABLE!

This is the new addition to the Forsberg family. Her name is Sophie. She is one of the kittens from Kari's house. I fell in love with those gorgeous eyes about a month ago. When I told Amy about the kitten just before dinner one night she said, "You are disinvited to dinner. Forever." But then I got a call over the weekend saying that she wanted to see the kitten, and now she lives with them! Who could resist that face! I wanted her for my own, but couldn't quite swallow the $40 a month I would have to pay to have her at the apartment. Plus, Emily told me that only living things that could contribute to paying rent were allowed in the apartment. So, the next best thing was to convince the fam to adopt her. : )

This is how Amy found her sleeping yesterday!

Don't know what to title it Friday

So, here's the update. Kari is right, I do have a modem. I stopped by the office and now have Internet. The bad news is, apparently I have to do all the hooking up myself. So, I will be making a few calls to some friends who know more than just how to turn a computer on in the hopes that they will come hook everything up for me. Especially since I started paying for Internet as soon as I signed the paper. So close and yet so far!

Two in two days

Yesterday I was behind a car, stopped at a red light and I thought there was a dog in the backseat of the car in front of me. But instead there was a sheep. A sheep was in the back seat of an old blue car. As my client and I laughed, we saw a dog stick its head out the front window. Nice!

One giant step for mankind

So, I went and bought a router today. The conversation went something like this:

Salesman: Can I help you?

Teresa: I need a router.

Salesman: What kind?

Teresa: I have no idea.

Salesman: Well... (and then he led me to the aisle with the routers and proceeded with talk like this) I have this one at home. It's on sale. Computer talk, computer talk. Blah, blah, blah. N and G something or other. You could get the cheaper brand but I've been through four of those in three years. Computer talk, computer talk.

Teresa: Sounds good. Do I pay you or do I pay up front.

Now I have to pick up a modem from some friends and get Internet. Baby steps, people, baby steps!

And, no, I still haven't hung the curtains.
