Oh my, I was sitting here thinking about several random things to blog about. I feel like I should warn you before you read any further. It probably won't be very interesting and it might be long. This is what happens when I don't blog for awhile...it all starts piling up in my head and then I want to get it all down before I forget :) So, I'll give titles to each random thing as if they were separate blog posts...
I SurvivedLast Sunday was our last Sunday in our old building. I don't know if I've ever even mentioned that we have been in the midst of building a new building for many years. Now, I have been very excited about this move. I am so excited what God has in store for our church as we move to a bigger building that will allow us to serve more people in a much more comfortable way. We were in a sanctuary that could only seat about 400 people. Pastor Ritch has been preaching 3 sermons on Sunday mornings since before I moved to Bethany 4 years ago. So, many new people are overwhelmed with how crowded the church was. Many Sunday School classes were meeting off site because there was no more room at the church. Needless to say...we needed a new building. And God has blessed us IMMENSELY! :)
Yesterday was our first Sunday in the new building. It is BEAUTIFUL! The new sanctuary is so spacious and the lobby can handle crowds easily. I saw a status update on Facebook that said we had 1625 people attend the two services! God is SO AMAZING!
I must say, as the time drew near, I was a little hesitant about the move. I don't like change. I like things to stay the way they are. But, I did surprisingly well with the last Sunday in the old building and the first Sunday in the new building. I am looking forward to Easter Sunday next week as we worship the Lord in the new building again!
Exercise :/I think that people who say they like exercise are just in denial about their true feelings. It isn't fun. I don't think it ever will be. But I guess in my 30 1/2 year old wisdom, I have decided it is more of a necessity than I want to admit. Thus, for three weeks now, I have been trying to exercise more regularly. Some days go better than others. Today, my body just kept saying, "You should just lay on the couch. You're not feeling well. You deserve to relax." I fought what my body was saying, and am now happily relaxing after exercising. But, it has yet to become fun or something I want to do. Maybe with more time...
Maybe I should become a doctorIt might be cheaper. Okay, I know that it takes a lot of money to become a doctor, but I am on the verge of getting yet another sinus infection. I have yet to figure out how to kick the cold before it turns into a sinus infection. And I HATE paying the bill to go to the doctor to get the antibiotics when I already know what is wrong. I would much rather self-diagnose and save myself some money. I'm giving myself two days before this turns into a sinus infection. Then I will seek out those darn antibiotics.
New PictureI realized as I logged into my blog that I need to change my picture at the top of my blog. It isn't winter any more and I must admit, even I am tired of the snow. But I LOVE this picture of John and don't want it to go away. So, I need to take some spring pictures soon so that I can change the picture out.
Okay, that's all I can think of for the moment. My head is starting to get fuzzy and my nose is starting to get extremely stuffy. Sigh. Off to start a new book since I just finished the one I was on...
